Description: From the service station we’ll head along the Western Ring Road path till we meet the Federation Trail at the tunnel in Laverton North at around 1100 am. Then its onwards to Werribee for lunch / coffee. Return via Federation Trail.
Sorry – NO BAIL OUT at Werribee station due to Track Maintenance – buses only Sat & Sun

Meet at the Caltex Servo and ride a scenic route to the Rose Creek Estate in Craig St East Keilor as part of the Sunbury Wine Festival. Wine tasting and lunch available on this family run estate. Return route is dependant on weather and rider enthusiasm.

Ride Report: 10 riders enjoyed a scenic and undulating ride along the Maribyrnong River and through the new Buckley Street underpass on the way to the Rose Creek Estate Winery. Pizza and pasta was enjoyed for lunch as well as tastings of the estate wine and olive oil all to some excellent local live entertainment. YES! some wine and glasses did make it home via bicycle.

Description: Meet at the Caltex Service station in Kealba, on Western Ring Rd and Sunshine Rd corner. We’ll ride via the Edgewater Estate to Docklands and then take a “Mystery Route” to Acland Street – St Kilda in search of the illusive “Polish Donut”.
Lots of options for return trip depending on weather, rider numbers and how many donuts we need to burn off. Minimum distance from servo to Acland St is 30 klms.

Ride Report: 10 riders headed out on a cool but glorious Melbourne winter day. From the City – Docklands-we headed down the Tram Line to St Kilda where many cakes / donuts were eaten. Several riders headed down to Richett’s Point (15 klms) and “trained it home”. Others returned via the same route (30 klms).

Ride Report: A quick ring around revealed 4 keen riders so the ride went ahead. A glorious day with a lovely lunch with entertainment at the Mia Mia Cafe in Westerfold Park. An Aboriginal elder regularly plays his didgeridoo there and gives lessons (for men only). A tail wind back to the start!

Description: Note change of route direction
Meet at the Caltex Service Station, Cnr Western Ring Road and Sunshine Avenue, Kealba, Melways 26 H2. We’ll head via the Ring Road Path, past Sydney Road and connect with the Merri Creek Trail. Its a meander past Coburg Lake to CERES for lunch, coffee (its a VERY BUSY cafe). Then on to Rushall Station and at Park street we’ll continue on the Capital City Trail to the Upfield Trail. This trail takes us through the suburbs following the railway line till we divert at Fawkner (approx) and then its back to the start along the Ring Road Path.

Ride Report: 8 riders headed out on a cool morning. 6 riders finished the ride with 2 riders taking a voluntary “bail out option” along the way. The afternoon was glorious with wonderful rests and coffee at CERES and the Fawkner Memorial Park Cafe.

Description: Meet at Heatherdale railway station in Mitcham, Melways 49 D9, and we head down Molan St to the Eastlink Trail. The trail heads all the way down to Carrum where we’ll stop for lunch / nibbles and then there are many options for the return trip. There is a “bail out” at Yarraman station for those who run out of legs along the way down.
Return Option 1: Carrum Railway Station and train to your home.
Return Option 2: Cycle through the Edithvale wetlands and up to Mordialloc Station (approx 10 klms North) and then train home.
Return Option 3: Cycle to Frankston Railway Station (approx 10 klms South) and train home.

Ride Report: 6 riders braved a very windy and showery day for an excellent ride. Great “fish & chips” and coffee with a difference! We rode to Mordialloc and trained it home. Distance 52 klms.

Description: Join several of the BrimBUG riders as we try the Melbourne Autumn Day Ride. (MAD Ride). This is undulating country and one must be fit. The route starts at Woodend and goes through Carlsruhe, Kyneton, Lauriston, Upper Coliban and returns to Woodend. This is a Day ride – not a race.

Description: Join us as we investigate the significance of the first flight by Harry Houdini exactly 100 years ago. We will ride along the Melton- Keilor Highway to Plumpton Road and then to the plaque commerating Houdini’s achievement.
Then it is on to the Houdini Festival of Flight run by Melton Shire council at the Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve in Plumpton Rd. Lots of entertainment and activities from 11 am till 4 pm. Stay as long as you please.

Report: 10 riders enjoyed a very pleasant ride to the plaque for a photo stop and then on to a very imaginative festival by Melton Shire Council for more photos with some very antique bikes. A swift tail wind carried us home.
