Distance:  25 klms – one way (approx.)

Description:  This ride follows the picturesque gravel Maribyrnong River trail to the Footscray area where we take some on – road routes to Williamstown area & the foreshore for well earned rest, coffee.  Return trip is planned.  Cyclists free to cycle/train ride home.  Several “bail-out” points on this easy route. Note – Maribyrnong River trail is NOT perfectly flat.

Report:  x10 riders, lots of sunscreen & a good ride.  Several rest stops to enjoy the Maribyrnong River & the lookout views.  The trail before Canning Reserve needs care as several sections are rather rocky for skinny tyres.  Great lunch at Williamstown.  Distance from Caltex servo start to Williamstown  30 klms.  All riders rode part way home.  Only x1 flat tyre.

Time:      1000 – 1015  am

Distance:    35 klms   (optional cycle return  70 klms)

Suits:    Adults, any maintained bike includes some on-road riding.  Need MYKI CARD.

Description:       From North Melbourne Station its a road route via South Melb to the light rail which we follow to Beach Parade and then in to St Kilda for some legendary cakes and morning tea.  Then its via the coast route to Ricketts Point and the Mordialloc area rides end.  Train return or cycle as individuals desire.

Report:  Very inclement weather had riders making a group decision to vary the route for this ride.  A good day was had by all.

Description:  From the service station we head along the WRR path, into the Jacana wetlands and out towards West meadows for a well earned coffee stop.   One down hill to the valley floor which is negotiated again on the return trip.  A picturesque ride which follows part of the Moonee Ponds Creek & always good coffee.  No on- road riding on this trip.
