Distance:      35 Km approx.  Return by train

Description:  This route takes riders along the newly completed Sunshine Trail through Footscray to Docklands and onto Port Melbourne to a new section of recreational trail to the mouth of the Yarra River, with views of the City and Williamstown.

Report:  Twelve Riders rode the newly completed Sunshine Trail into Footscray and onto Docklands for coffee, then continuing to Port Melbourne’s new Web dock point  observation area, with views of the City and Williamstown. Nice easy flat ride with a tail wind.

Distance:      30 Km return

Suits:       All riders with a maintained bike,       Cost :   Free BBQ lunch provided at Venue by organisers.

Description:  This route takes riders along the Kororoit Creek through Brimbank and onto North Altona for the National Tree Planting Event, to help with planting out trees and shrubs.

Announcement will be made by the  Hon. Jill Hennessy MP for Victoria about plans for the Kororoit Creek Trail.

Report:   Thanks to several members that helped out on the day, over 2000 plants where put in by many volunteers to help re-vegetate the Kororoit Creek embankment, and make Cycling more enjoyable along the Creek.

A very successful day, Toyota has pledged $1.8 million dollars to help complete the 7Km Trail to the Bay Trail, with Hobsons Bay Council and State and Fed Gov, putting in the rest.
