Description:               Starting at the service station we ride along the Western Ring Road path to Melrose drive along Melrose Drive to Link road and along Link road to South centre road. For some “plane spotting”, we can ride out to the end of the north south runway OR ride down South centre road to Annandale road. A right turn takes riders all the way to Keilor village for coffee. From there we ride up the Old Calder Hwy to Sunshine Ave, then follow Sunshine Ave back to the Caltex service station.

Ride Report:      A small group headed out on a crisp morning.  After a “magpie swoop” and a hill  or two a well earned hot coffee completed the morning.  Distance travelled 38 klms.

Where               0900 am    Southern Cross Station    TRAIN  to HEATHERDALE Station

Distance:        60 klms  APPROX riding

Level:              medium.             Cost:        FREE – need MYKI card.

Description:     After meeting at Southern Cross station its a train trip to Heatherdale station where we join the “EastLink” Trail and cycle our way down south.  Lots of ‘Bail out” points along this scenic route.  Plan to reach Carrum and train home.  Of course those “head winds” after Greens Rd in the Carrum area may see us making a pleasant detour.

Report:     x5 riders headed south on a glorious day for cycling.  Lunch in Mordialloc and then full of energy we cycled back to the city area.  Distance covered approx 70 klms.
