Description: Meeting at the Caltex servo it is an easy cycle along the Western Ring Road path to Gowanbrae where we’ll cross over the Ring Road and head down to the Jacana Wetlands and in to Westmeadows. A few short streets later we join and follow the Moonee Ponds Creek path in to the southern end of Woodlands Historical Park and heritage Homestead site. Lots of paths to explore and a viewing point to the end of the airport runways for that extra thrill of planes taking off. Return trip is a slightly different route - planning to bypass that steep hill out of Jacana wetlands. Coffee, nibbles in the Woodlands Park cafe OR Westmeadows area (cafe).

Ride Report: 4 Riders buckled down against gale force winds to Broadmeadows valley park then common sense prevailed and our cycling journey took us in to the city on the Moonee Ponds Creek trail for a well earned coffee. Riding distance approx 40 klms. Woodlands still awaits us!
